Events
Overview
The term "Event" is used to describe any scenario where data is added to an individual animal or Non-ID Group record in either the StockManager tablet application or web portal. Each time that data is added to a record, the date/time, entry type and, for certain entry types, event name is added to the record to provide source and audit information.

Configured Event Planning
The Configured Events function in the Android tablet application is intended to provide a simple way to collect data and draft animals for standard events that happen throughout the year and for common ad hoc scenarios.
Similar to Groups, planning the events that you enter in the system can help to ensure consistency of data collection throughout the year along with simplifying year on year analysis. The table below is provided as a high level guide to help plan events in the system.
Note: It is recommended to keep event naming as simple as possible. It is easy to change the data collection and drafting settings for any event without changing the name
