Using a Prattley Auto-drafter in a Configured Event

If event Drafting Method is set for "Automatic" the StockManager application will work in conjunction with the Prattley Auto-drafter to draft animals based on the drafting logic configured for the event. The following details relate to how the application and the Auto-drafter work together:

  • Once all devices are connected, the entry gate will open. Once this happens, select the AUTO button on your PAD6 remote to finish the setup. This is indicated by a red LED light next to RUN on the PAD6 control box.

  • If the entry gate is accidentally closed by an animal bumping it:

    • Select either the RESET button on the StockManager screen or the AUTO button on the PAD6 remote

  • If two animals enter the Auto-drafter and the entry gate partially closes with one stuck in the drafter:

    • Select the RESET button on the StockManager screen or press the AUTO button on your PAD6 remote

  • If two animals enter the drafter and the entry gate fully closes:

    • Select STOP on the StockManager screen and then select any button on the PAD6 remote

    • Remove the second animal

    • Then select the RESET, and then START button on the StockManager screen

  • If animal has its head stuck in the entry gate

    • Select the RESET button on the StockManager screen or press the AUTO button on your PAD6 remote

  • If the entry gate closes without an animal inside

    • Select the RESET button on the StockManager screen or press the AUTO button on your PAD6 remote

  • If the PAD6 control box battery dies

    • Change the battery

    • Power on the PAD6 control box

    • Select "RECONNECT" button on the StockManager event screen (this is shown any time a Bluetooth device disconnects)

  • If the weigh indicator turns itself off at any point:

    • Turn it back on

    • Select "RECONNECT" button on the StockManager event screen (this is shown any time a Bluetooth device disconnects)
