Grazer Check-Out


Collecting final animal data, drafting into owner groups and reporting can be accomplished using the following steps in StockManager: 

  1. Collect animal information and draft into owner groups using Configured Events screen

  2. Report added animals using NAIT Reporting screen​

  3. Report baseline information to animal owners using the General Analysis screen

Collect Data and Draft

The screens displayed below show an example of the setup (left) and event (right ) screen for collecting weights and drafting into owner groups.

The screens displayed below show a similar setup for a Non-ID Group. After this event is completed, the count of animals and their average weight will be added to the Non-ID Group record.

NAIT Reporting

If animals that are being returned are Cattle or Deer, the next step is to report these movements in the NAIT system. StockManager makes this easy by providing a screen that show all NAIT reporting requirements by status and animal type. This can be performed either from the tablet application with a network connection or from the web portal directly. 

To report animals to NAIT:

  1. From tablet - connect to the internet and select the NAIT button

  2. From the web portal - select the down arrow at the top right next to your email address and select NAIT Reporting from menu

  3. If you start from the tablet, it will automatically select the Farm associated with the tablet.  If you start from the web portal, you will need to select the farm from the available values in the drop down

  4. Once the farm has been selected, a screen similar to what is shown below will be displayed. This will show the number of animals added to the system.

  5. Simply select the SEND TO NAIT button to register these animals. NOTE: This process will also send any additional records that are pending to NAIT

Report To Owners

If animals being returned have individual records, you can quickly report counts and metrics for these animals at Check-Out to owners by:

  1. General Analysis screen

  2. Select the Animal Type

  3. Add Filter - Group and select the Group name assigned to the Checked-In animals

  4. Add Metrics for animals and take a screen shot that you can email to the owner

To provide more discrete information on individual animals, simply:

  1. Select the VIEW ANIMAL LIST button which will display a listing of all animals in the Group

  2. Select the CHANGE COLUMNS button to adjust the information that is displayed for the animals

  3. Select the CSV EXPORT button to generate a .csv file containing the displayed data and bring up available options to forward it to the owner

If Checked-In animals have do not have individual records, you can quickly report counts and metrics for these animals at Check-In to owners by:

  1. Animal / Non-ID Group screen

  2. Select SEARCH/ADD

  3. Select Non-ID Group

  4. Select the Non-ID Group for the Checked-In Animals

  5. Make a print screen of the record and email to owner
