NAIT Reporting

Overview

This screen displays the current status of NAIT reporting requirements for a farm, enables a user to initiate the transmission of a report directly to NAIT and see details of previous transmissions.

Overview

NAIT Reporting Scope

When you initially select NAIT Reporting from the menu, it will display the following notification outlining the transactions that currently can be facilitated using the StockManager application.

Select Farm

After acknowledging the NAIT Reporting Scope, it will present the following screen where you select the farm to view NAIT Reporting details and initiate reporting. This is required due to the web portal structure that allows users to view and manage multiple farms associated with the account.

Simply select the down arrow in the Select Farm box and select the name of the Farm to be presented with the NAIT Summary page for that farm. If the farm selected does not have complete NAIT system credentials available, a dialog will be presented notifying you that some NAIT details are missing with a link to the Farms page where you can select the Farm and edit the NAIT details

NAIT Summary

Once the farm is selected, the system displays a screen similar to what is displayed below. The displayed data is as follows:

  • Farm Name - from the previous selection

  • SEND TO NAIT button

    • This button will be inactive (gray instead of green) unless there is at least one non-zero number in one of the status categories

    • If it is active and selected, it will:

      • Check that the NAIT number, username and password has been entered for the selected farm.

        • If not it will present an error dialog stating that information is missing with a button to go to the Edit Farm screen

        • If so, it will initiate the NAIT reporting transmission

    • If there are no counts in Grazed Out or Sold status, then the transmission will proceed directly

    • If there are counts in Grazed Out or Sold status, the Receiver Assignment screen will be presented for completion (see below)

  • Number of animals per status category since last successful NAIT transmission

    • Animal Status - this is a list of the status changes in StockManager that correlate to specific NAIT reporting requirements

    • Cattle and Deer counts - this is a count of animals by type that have changed status and require NAIT reporting

    • The counts shown in the table are update based on the following rules

      • Status Changes
        • Any time an individual Cattle or Deer record status is changed to one of those listed in the table
      • Select the trash can next to a non-zero count will reduce count to zero (after confirmation)
      • NAIT Transmissions - individual record status
        • Success - count is reduced for each record
        • Warning - count is reduced for each record
        • Failed - count is NOT reduced for each record
      • Exceptions
        • If an animal’s status has changed multiple times since the last reporting, only the earliest status change will be shown. Once that status change has been transmitted successfully (Success or Warning), the next earliest status change for the animal will be shown in the count. This will continue until all status changes for an animal are successfully transmitted.
        • Receiver Selection - 3rd Party - the counts for these records will be removed as soon as a NAIT transmission is initiated, regardless of the transmission outcome.
  • NAIT Transmission History

    • Date & Time - the date and time that the transmission was completed

    • # of Records - the number of records transmitted

    • Status - the status of the transmission overall. The options and definitions are as follows:

      • Success - All records processed successfully with no warnings

      • Warnings - All records processed successfully with some warnings

      • Partial Success - Some records failed. Note: Failed records won't be removed from counts.

      • Failed (Records) - All records failed. Note: Failed records won't be removed from counts.

      • Failed (Transmission) - (NAIT error code and description presented) Note: No records won't be removed from counts.

    • Details - a View link is presented for every transmission except for status of Success. Selecting the link will present the Transmission Details screen (see below)

      • Failed - the record was not accepted by NAIT

    • Date - the date and time the transmission was completed

    • Details - this will display the warning or error code and description provided in the NAIT response

Note: NAIT requires Production Type for all registrations and updates. StockManager defaults these to "B" for Cattle and "VE" for Deer if the record does not contain this information. This information is only provided from Allflex or Zee Tags when importing tag orders. This may cause an issue depending on the registered farm type.

    • This enables you to use the "Select All" button to select just the animals that match the Event or Group name search results

    • Note: The Event or Group must be associated with the animal at the time the status changed to prompt the NAIT reporting for this to be displayed.

The SEND TO NAIT will turn green as soon as one animal's Receiver information has been assigned. If selected, it will send the information for animals that have a Receiver assigned along with the balance of the status changes that do not.
