StockManager's security is designed to enable open collaboration between resources while providing the ability to limit access to farms and functions where needed.

There are two Billing Account Types:

  • Standard - These are accounts setup directly through stockmanager.co.nz

  • Vet - These are accounts setup individually by StockManager resources for veterinarian businesses after StockManager certification

  • Note: An account needs to be established before a Farm can be added to it

Billing Account owners are automatically assigned:

  • The Account role for Standard Account Types and all associated Farms

  • The Clinic role for Vet Account Types and all associated Farms

​

The ability to Add/Edit/Delete users for Accounts and Farms is limited to the following roles:

  • Account for Standard accounts

  • Clinic and Admin for Vet accounts

​

The Clinic role can assign the following Account (vs. Farm) roles for Vet Accounts which provides them access to Vet specific functionality:

  • Admin, Retail and Vet

​

As soon as Farm is added to an Account, the following roles are automatically assigned to them based on the Account Type:

  • The Account role for Standard Account Types

  • The Clinic, Admin and Retail roles for Vet Account Types

​

Users are "Added" to a Farm through a two-step process. 

  1. The user email is added to the Farm and assigned a security role (see below) which automatically sends them an email with an invitation link

  2. The invited user selects the link in the invitation, which brings them to stockmanager.co.nz where they accept the invitation and are then granted access to the Farm based on their role

There are two types of StockManager billing accounts: Vet and Standard. The listing below describes all available security roles for StockManager along with a reference as to which are valid for the different billing account types.

Clinic - Vet account owner with access to all tablet and web functions for billing account(s) & farms

Admin - Vet account administrator with access to most account & farm level web functions

Retail - Access to the Health Treatments and Import Tag web functions for all farms under a Vet account

Vet - Access to all tablet functionality and most web functions for assigned farms

Account - Standard account owner with access to all tablet and web functions for account & farms 

Farm - Access to all tablet functionality and most web functions for assigned farms

Staff - Access to most tablet functionality and some web functions for assigned farms

Viewer - No tablet access and limited web functions for assigned farms

The listing below outlines the tablet and web functions that each role has access to with the following limitations:

  • Farms are assigned Subscription Types

    • Standard Account Options: Standard - provides full access to tablet and web functionality except for Vet specific functions

    • Vet Account Options

      • Full - All tablet and web functions​

      • Web - No tablet functionality. All web functions except Import Records.
