View Template Details

When the Template Name (hyperlink) is selected from the list of templates or Edit or View (for Default) is selected from the row overflow menu, a screen similar to what is displayed below will be presented. The information on the screen is as follows:

  • Template Summary

    • Template Name (not editable)

    • Type (not editable)

    • Class (not editable)

    • Category (not editable) - blank for Farm Classes - Admin, Health & Safety, Land, or Staff

    • ADD EVENT - Selecting this will open a window to add a new event to the template (inactive if Default)

    • SAVE - inactive for previously saved or Default templates. Active for Create Template or Copy screens.

  • Template Details

    • Order - lists the order of events based on lead time (days) from Template Start. If the lead time is the same for two events, the order will be determined based on Event Name alphabetical order

    • Event - the name of the event

    • Type - the type of the event (Farm, Service or Treatment)

    • Dependent Event - the name of the dependent event or Template Start if this is selected as the dependent event.

      • Note: If the dependent event is listed more than once in the template, its order number will be shown to the right of it

    • Lead/Lag Days - Lead (negative number) days before or Lag (positive number) days after the dependent event or Template Start

    • Purpose - a brief description of the purpose of the event

    • Overflow Menu

      • Edit - will open an overlay box with the details of the event assignment for edits

      • View (Default templates only) - will open an overlay box with the details of the event assignment for viewing (no editing)

      • Delete (not shown for Default templates) - will open an overlay box to confirm deletion of the event assignment from the template

Add Event Assignment

To add an event to a template, select ADD EVENT. This will open an overlay box where you can

  • Search by event name by typing in the first 3 letters of the event name. This will present a list of matching event names.

  • Once an event is selected the event name will be placed in the search bar

  • Do the same for the dependent event name or select the checkbox next to Template Start

    • Notes:

      • Dependent event names available in search will be limited to events currently assigned in the template

      • If an event has been added to the template previously more than once, it will be displayed with its current template order number after it in the search results - e.g. Drench (10), Drench (25), etc.

      • Example - A Treatment event named "Drench" is added to the template with a 14 day lag time after Template Start which makes its order number 10. Later, the same event is added to the template with a -7 day lead time before "Mating" event which makes its order number 25. The next time that Drench is searched for as a dependent event, the search results return "Drench (10)" and "Drench (25)" to select from.

  • Enter the number of lead (negative number) days before or lag (positive number) after either the dependent event or Template Start date (can be zero if the events should occur on the same day)

    • Note: The lead days available will be limited to a negative number that makes the event coincide with the Template Start

  • Select SAVE which will:

    • Remove the overlay box

    • Place the event assignment details in the table and update the order numbering based on the dependent event, lag time and event name. E.g. if two events (A Event and B Event) are listed 7 days after Template Start and they are the only events in the template, "A Event" will be order #1 and "B Event" will be order #2.
